Working TOR with POLIPO poliopo a wonderful proxy available in linux (ubuntu) where u can surf the net annonymously without any restriction. In offices and in educational institutions they block some websites Like orkut, youtube. Sometimes downloading exe, zipfile is not possible or restricted. to break this we can use proxy servers(like privoxy with TOR, polipo with tor etc.,) Configuring proxy server with poliopo u can download the polipo proxy from synaptic package manager or from packages .ubuntu .com Then use the following command in the terminal sudo gedit /etc/polipo/config then copy and paste the following into the config file and save it
adding TOR button in Mozilla fire fox
to add a button in firefox bowser
go to tools-> click add-ones then search for TOR addon and install it.

Goto edit in firefox-> click preferences-> click advanced->select network tab-> click advanced->settimgs->then
in manual proxy give 127.0.0.1 and port as 8118. thats all.
whenever u want to surf annonymously click the tor button in the bottom of ur mozilla browser…… enjoy…
